This is why PCGN is opening its doors to the public to enter our new private servers where we have complete control of who is allowed to enter, the enforcement of anti-hacking measures, and the status and working order of the HIVE.

We've built our reputation based on over a decade of industry and community experience and know what it takes to run an enjoyable atmosphere for gamers with integrity. We won't let just anybody in. And we won't hesitate to dismiss those who destroy the experience for the rest of the community.

We have coming at the start of October a private Lingor Island private hive server ready to be filled with players seeking the heart-racing moments, competition, and looting we've all come to love about DayZ.

Shortly after, a private Chernarus server will also go live providing the most well-rounded DayZ experience the community at large has yet to see.

I'm glad you guys are doing this -- those hackers are really annoying. My clan spends some time on your 1872 server, and hours of work go into a project that gets destroyed in 10 seconds thanks to hackers. Scriv, my clan leader, says it happens about once a week for him. It happened last night for us, at 2025 US Central Time, a player by the name of Shephards (sp?) teleported himself behind us while we were crawling away from two tents in Berezino, and he was invincible, then killed me without firing a shot. Just thought you should know.

Also, I decided to register in the hopes that I will be allowed access to your new private servers when they go up, and I'm sure Scriv (=SWF=sfscriv) will do the same, and likely more of our clan members. We are looking forward to some nice firefights, without the threat of immature hackers ruining the fun and the work we've put in.

Can't wait to see you guys on the battlefield!

A sizable donation has been made to the PC Gamers Network Community (founded in 1998) to support the DayZ servers. I talked with the PCGN founders/leaders (screen names Ed and Fire488) and our whole =SWF= organization is covered for the Day ONE 1 OCT 2012 start of the DayZ servers. We should all get access to the white listed saintly servers (Chernarus and Lingor) and be able to keep our on-the-body equipment for the Day ONE restart.

The Rules of Engagement are:
- no shooting any survivors
- share equipment
- share a ride with the PCGN folks
- Provide medical assistance to all survivors

I expressed our appreciation for the hacker-regulated environment.

There should be many fantastic firefights in our collective future.

About sharing equipment: I'm guessing this is within reason so if all I have is a pistol with one magazine, I don't have to share it with others. But if I have too much for my own needs and another survivor needs some of that, I will share it.

It sure would be great to get more folks white listed. We need you to help out with getting ready for game day. We will be allowed to carry contents of our backpacks and on-hand items into the fresh restart. The set-up tents and vehicles will be gone, but our personal equipment will stay with us.

Even if you do not think you want to devote much time to DayZ, we need you to pack loot items into the Day ONE gameplay. We have accumulated about 250 general items, 3 alice packs, 9 tents, and about 40 weapons.

Please make the effort to get whitelisted with the PCGN US 1872 saintly private server.

The Chernarus and Lingor Servers, (Private Hives) will restart and have all vehicles and tents wiped, starting fresh at 1800 hrs (6pm) EST, today, Monday 1 OCT 2012.

Your character and what you are carrying will NOT be affected by the fresh re-start.

Rules of Engagement:
- There are none. (Personal Preference). [=SWF= inject: We will defend ourselves and each other by eliminating all threats.]

Servers Rules are simple: Breaking the rules will result in de-listing.
- No Duping
- No HACKING

Treat this just like a public server, if you're on just to survive, or just to kill on sight, you're welcome to do so. We welcome clans, groups, teams, lone wolves, newbies, and veterans. The only players are not welcomed are HACKERS.

If you know of other players that would be interested in a hack free environment, PLEASE spread the word and direct them to pc-gamers.net to fill out an application.

Server Stuff:
- The server will restart daily every morning.
- The time will be set to 6hrs behind EST time. Example: 12PM EST = 6AM EST
- Server Hive is backed up twice daily.

Again, server restarts at 6pm regardless of who is connected.
