That's just it. It is petrol powered! I had to knock a hole in the wall to vent the exhaust.

My build is almost complete and as soon as it comes back online I'll post the photos but I went with:
-Cool Master Elite 430 -ASUS P8z68/GEN3 -i5 2500 at 3.3 -EVGA 560Ti I looked at the 570 but opted to save myself a 100 bucks and less heat inside. I should be ok for a few years and can always get another 560 to crossfire - 8GB of Corsair Vengeance DDR3 1600
From my old rig I took: - Corsair 650 watt PS - 500 GB Samsung Spinpoint - 250 GB Samsung - DVD player - all the fans - HD 4870 to see if I can get 3 monitors hooked up
Still waiting on the memory so I have yet to test it out. Everything looks like its turning on but obviously without the RAM nothing comes hits the screen. Hoping to not have to reinstall Win7 but you never know with all new equipment

Got it all together in a few hours minus the old HD 4870 and the memory I'm still waiting to arrive. Just hoping it boots up, obviously nothing happens with no memory but everything has power and it looks cool!!

Still waiting on the memory. Tempted to buy some off the shelf but it would totally clash with the blue I've been putting together in the system. Supposed to be here on Thursday!

Finally got around to ordering my BF3 upgrade parts. I went bare-bones with: - video card - hard drive - operating system - 3.5 extension cable for headset to talk/listen
If it does not function, I will go with phase 2: - mother board - RAM - power supply

I got it up and running yesterday. As per SOP it didn't start right up like I was hoping when I first plugged it in. Wouldn't even POST the first time. Thought maybe I didn't set the CPU in properly but nope, unplugged the video card but nope. I was praying I didn't get a bad MOBO but then I noticed something, some moron didn't plug the power into the CPU! Only took me 2 hours to figure that out. So I'm in the midst of reloading all my software was hoping just to do a W7 repair to the hard drive but there were just too many changes for it to recognize; better off to get a clean install anyway.
Everything looks great so far, made a few BF3 test runs last night. In most cases I'm averaging above 60 FPS with the card staying below 65 degrees the whole time. Much better than my gtx275 by far. Of course it helps to have the i5 on board.
My biggest issue now is getting my joystick to work. From everything I've read there is an issue with BF3 and getting the n52, keyboard, mouse, and a joystick all working together. Something about the n52 being recognized as a joystick. Its definitely keeping me out of the cockpit for now.

Ghost, I have an N52 with a saitec cybourg fly 5 joystick and all appears to be compatable. Although I am completely hopeless at flying. Fingers crossed you shouldnt have any issues. Let me know if I can help in any way

I too have been left scratching my head with the power lead not plugged into the psu.
I've got an n52te and bf3 recognises it ok with W7 64bit, so hopefully you shouldn't have any problems there.
Nice setup, I need an i5. My gtx570 is severely bottlenecked by my E8400 dual core. Task manager shows it running at 100% with bf3. A Q9650 3ghz which is one of the fastest quad cores for the MB are £270 new and about £160 on eBay second hand which is ridiculous when the i5 2500k is £165 new ! But obviously I would need to add a new MB and ram to that price and with an aftermarket cooler for overclocking I'm looking at around £350. So I'm still undecided on trying a Q9550 from eBay for about £120 and see how it performs or just upgrading the lot.
