I saw a few good movies recently. They're on DVD now, so if you haven't heard of them, definitely check them out.
Jeff, Who Lives at Home -- makes you think Sinister -- REALLY messed up horror movie with something you really won't be expecting
Actually that's all I remember off the top of my head. I'll add more if I think of them.

The Expendables 2 was ok over the top action and funny one liners. I liked all the references to the actors prior movies.Chuck Norris was good in it.

There are so many good war movies it is hard for me to list them. The ones which really stir my blood are films from ancient history. One scene comes to mind from 'Kingdom of Heaven' when 'Jerusalem' is on the march. OMG! I also love anything to do with native American Indians. 'The Last of the Mohicans' is one of my all time favorites. I'm not sure if it would be classed as a war movie, but is set in a war period. Awesome

I watched it too, and it was pretty good. Maybe I've seen too many films, because it didn't feel that special. Everything was well made, but it was almost as if I had seen it before. It didn't feel like that when I saw it, but now it does. I guess all high-budget action movies with a big star in them are similiar to some degree.
Reading the books you get the image that Jack Reacher is a big and strong guy, but Tom Cruise is notoriously short. I, along with Lee Child, think he did fit the role anyway. Interestingly, Cruise did all the car stunts himself. Thanks to this the cameras didn't have to be positioned in a way that the driver can't be seen very well, vice versa. One car scene even failed, but the director decided to keep it in to add tension.
