We were at work and the cannon went of at 11:11am to mark the minutes silence and scared us half to death!

My history teacher asked a couple veterans from WW2, Korea, Vietnam, and Iraq to come to our class and give a presentation. And man, it was pretty intense having the honor to shake their hands, regardless, but even more so once you realized what they'd been through.

I have the highest respect for the soldiers guarding the Tomb. The crap and idiots they have to deal with has to be more than irritating.
