Did anyone see the Brazilian GP?
Without a doubt the closest race I have ever seen.
But definatly the best man won the race and the best man won the championship!
Not since Damon Hill in 1996 has a British Driver won the championship!
WOO HOO!!

Formula 1 has been very popular in Finland for a long time. Almost always we've had a Finnish driver racing, and most of them have been very good at it. Keke Rosberg (father of Nico Rosberg, who's German, Keke has one championship) was racing in the 80's, JJ Lehto in the first half of 90's, Mika Häkkinen in the 90's (two championships) and Kimi "Iceman" Räikkönen (one championship) in the 2000's. Heikki Kovalainen is also a recent one, but he was most of the time in the 20th place. Valtteri Bottas just started and was 14th in the first race of the 2013 season.
Many F1 drivers have praised Räikkönen's skills as a Formula driver, and for a reason. The problem is, many times he has been given a bad car. But not on this season. Kimi started on the 7th place, but finished on the first! Fernando Alonso came in second and Sebastian Vettel was third. Maybe Kimi will get a second championship this year?
I rarely watch the races, but I usually check who got in the top 3 and on which position did the Finns finish. Does anyone else follow Formula One?

I was a big fan of F1, but I have gradually lost interest over the years. Like you I'll checkout the results and sometimes watch the highlights, but gone are the days where I would get up in the early hours and sit with knots in my stomach waiting for the lights to go out.
I've always been a McLaren fan and started going to Silverstone for the British GP in 1997.
Al you'll be pleased to hear that my favorite driver ever was Mika Hakkinen. Really enjoyed his battles with Schumacher.
Here's a stunning move he pulled on Schumacher at Spa in 2000.......great stuff.

I've read that Schumacher was most "scared" of Häkkinen as he was the biggest threat to him.
