Need to track down script to build a count down feature for our events web page. Want to add a Combat Count Down ( # Days, # Hours, #Minutes) before the next clan gaming session.
Take into account whether or not the script should to point toward a time keeping site, a registered forum or website log-in set time zone, or the user's computer clock.
This can get confusing, if it is not based on the same time zone for everyone.

There is a Temporary COMBAT Countdown Clock in place. Check it out: www.spartanwarfighters.net/2top/2events/events.htmIt is a little cheezy. Would like to get rid of the animation and the Cartoon Character. The final version doesn't need an image. But if it did have an image, it needs to be Hooah!! Just want Days, Hours, and Minutes.

The problem with the existing "Combat Countdown Clock" is it does NOT adjust for the different time zones. So, if it were set to Eastern Time, it would confuse and mislead all the other time zones. That is why it has been zeroed out for so long.
We need a FUNCTIONING Combat Countdown clock that will tell each Spartan, regardless of their time zone, how many days, hours, and minutes until it is time to defend Sparta.

Could we not just have 3 countdown timers one for each: GMT CET and EST. If you look at the [RIP] screen shot, that is how they have done it. Might be easier the set up?

I haven't really messed around with the date() function, but I imagine that it's pretty simple to get the local time zone and compare it to a date plugged in by the admin. This is pretty high on my list right now.
