The Spartan War Fighters Ranked BF2 Server has arrived. Now, we need to time to set it up. We should have a functional clan server within days (probably tomorrow).

In New York, USA (East Coast)
100 Mbit Connection
Dual Core Opteron Processor
2GB RAM
BF2CC Daemon Admin control (can change between Ranked and private)
All EA Expansion Packs Included
Battle Recorder can be setup, altho the files must be uploaded to a external website.

Should our ping be ok Scriv? Think there are a few of us in europe now, just wondering what the estimated ping is going to be?
Also when is it going to be up and running?

The =SWF= Ranked Server should be up and running any day now. We are just waiting for server service provider to configure the system and notify us. Payment was made this last Saturday.
The use of a BF2 server with this company will be approximately a one to three month test. Each of us will have to provide feedback on connection speeds, stability, and reliability.
Finding the perfect game server provider was taking too long. We went with what appeared to be a realitively big name in the game server business. We need to actively compare server service, cost, and extras with other server service providers. In the long-term we will have multiple servers for BF2, TeamSpeak, Advanced Tactical Center, and Battlefield Recording.
Let's learn from this experience and be ready to pick the best server provider. Member and Recruit participation in this process is encouraged.
As for the location of the server, multiple requests for research were presented. We are an international clan. Therefore, we want our Europe and North America members to have acceptable connection speeds. At some point in the future, we could have servers in the U.S. and U.K. But, that depends on connection speeds and costs. Currently, the value of the U.S. dollar makes it more cost effective to have a server in the U.S. The locaton in the U.S. was selected based on its close proximity to Europe. If there is a better Company, State, or Country to host our server, let us know.

I play on alot North America servers and dont find the ping to be that bad, between 60 and 70, which is certainly playable.

Do you have a checking account? If so, you can set up a PayPal account to transfer funds. It took my account about 5 days to deposit the money using this method.

Here is an update about our server. This was sent to Internet Services earlier today. There is and will be updates in the first post of this thread.
There are many things that were unclear in the Terms of Service and
throughout the Battlefield 2(BF2) Ranked Server renting process. Please
provide information on the following:
- When will the server be available for use? Now, we have it!!
- Will the server loaded with with Road to Jalalabad and Highway Tampa maps? Come with Road to Jalalabad and Highway Tampa maps
- Do you have any package deals that go with a rented game server? At the moment we do not have any package deals.
- How can I get InternetServices coupons? We do not have any coupons at the moment.
- Can the rented BF2 Ranked 32 slot server be changed from day to day
from Ranked (Public) to Unranked (Private)? You can change the server to private when ever you wish via BF2cc.
- Battlefield Recorder feature.
.... o Can the feature be used with this rented server?
Battle Recorder can be setup, altho the files must be uploaded to a external website.

.... o Can additional information on how to setup and manage the
Battlefield Recorder feature be provided?
- In the future, we want to:
.... o Go from a 32 slot to a 64 slot. What is the process and

.... o Add additional unranked servers to the account. You may add more servers to your account whenever.
.......... + Do you have BF2 MODs that your company can load onto a
server? We do not load BF2 mods onto unranked servers as you have full FTP access, mods may not be loaded on to a server that has ranked code.
.......... + Can the customer load MODs onto a server?
- During internet user server selection and map load, what will the
bottom right corner Logo look like? Will the clan be able to display
its Logo? You can add your own custom picture in there via BF2cc.
- What kind of advertising and/or server listings do you have? We do not advertise your server, altho it may show up in our listing of IP's on the website.
