Not sure were I should put this so move it if its in the wrong place. As we have a gathering planned for today I thought I had better try and solve a few problems from last time, I couldn't use Xfire to join BF2 games for instance, I just had to type the ip address in-game, Iv now fixed that problem by adding command lines,

The Xfire can be flacky.
Option #1 - It is always a good idea to be prepared to write down on paper and then enter the IP address within BF2.
Option #2 - Close BF2 all the way down then click the game pad icon in Xfire.
Option #3 - If it fails, the fastest way is to "Tab" "Alt" to minimize BF2 and then use Option #1.

Here is what I did to sort the problem: It is a bit complicated, on the Xfire screen.
Go into "Options"
Then the "Games" tab, under "Advanced "Options" you will see a field to input extra command line parameters, in this field you need to type the following:
+playername YOURACCOUNTNAMEHERE +playerPassword YOURPASSWORDHERE
It is important you type it exactly as you find it here or it will not work! This will enable auto-login so you never have to type your username or password again and when you load battlefield through Xfire it goes straight to the main menu, or into the server you have joined!
Hope This all helps. =SWF= Angrytom_ass

Still can't get it to work. It loads the game no problem, but just stops at the login screen.

Hmmm, strange. Are you sure you copied it exactly as it is here, spaces and all?
Ares, did it work ok for you?

Sorry yes we did figure it out: Robnob Made his account name with EA as: RobNobRobNob
However even though in game he can sign in with this name: robnobrobnob
XFire needs it to be EXACTLY the same. It is case sensitive, and that also appies to all the rest of the stuff you have to type in CASE SENSITIVE!
Hope that makes sence!
