I started to play the single player and found it ok.Enemy and friendly troops all looked the same to me.
I found the voice acting decent and felt the sound was lacking compared to BF3.
Multiplayer:
1)Way to much like COD,at least on some of the maps I have played so far.
2)Recon class needs to go, way to much camping and no one calling stuff out.
3)You have to be rank 10 to command.Total BS in my book it was the one thing I wanted to do.
I'll post more as I play.I find that they combined MOHW,BF3 and mixed in some COD.I wish more thought had gone into the game than just dog tags and weapon camo.All I can say is I'm glad I didn't drop big bucks on a PC to play this.
I will have to get my own server for sure if I embrace this game.Also helos can still flag camp and are over powered.
The boats are fun to cruise in and breaks up the game somewhat.
I might change my mind as patches come out and I get more time in game.As of right now I'm not that impressed.

Unfortunately I havnt got the game yet. I decided to buy the disk from amazon rather than go through the download route through origin as it was loads cheaper. Amazon haven't even dispatched it yet though. Will let you know what I think when i get online

I hope it does improve with patches, Psycho how long do you think it will take you to get to rank 10 ?
Viper I too noticed it was a lot cheaper via Amazon. I haven't ruled out purchasing it but I'll wait for feedback before I consider it.
The beta didn't leave me feeling like the BF3 beta did.

I am a level 5 at 2h 47m of play so I should hit level 10 by Friday. Beat the campaign very quickly story was not that good at all.You do get some unlocks for doing the campaign and learn to use the controls. Not impressed with the battle packs mostly camo or a scope for a weapon that I don't have unlocked. I find the maps lacking in vehicles.Scope glint is still there which is fine by me as it helps to eliminate campers. Still intend to get more time in to give the game a chance. The map that is in the prison is so COD time will tell I guess. |

This game is a big disappointment.
I knew I should not have got Premium I really want my $ back.
Maps are way to small and so COD it is pathetic.Lots of glitches and crashes and really not well done.
No platoons,I have not been able to join friends to play together.Big time cheating by some on here.
There are no real good tank maps.
Save your money!For me I'm done with shitty video games I'm going dark for a while.

Sorry to hear that mate. It would seem that the Battlefield series probably peaked at BF2. Still chin up, Planetside 2 is due for a Playstation release sometime soon  |

I am shocked to here the maps are small. BF3 had some small CQ maps (which I preferred), but also had a good choice of large maps (equivalent if not bigger than BF2) Why the step back? I thought BF4 was going to address gripes of BF3. This is sad news, although if I had listened to all views of BF3 I would have missed out on a great game. With my commitment to Planetside2 and the space adventure of X Rebirth imminent (and projectCARS) I won't have the time to see for myself. My BF days are over I fear. RIP BF  |

I played commander last night and enjoyed it. My main gripe is if I click on the squad I can hear them all. I would like the old chain of command that only squad leaders can talk to the commander. Also SL should be able to contact me not me having to highlight the squad. All and all I enjoyed commander the commo rose on PS3 needs tweaking. Commander is the only reason I will play. I was proud to say that I was "the most feared" BF2 commander.   It was fun to take command and rally the team. |

Haven't played commander yet. Am slowly getting into it. Seemed a bit laggy initially so lowered the graphics to medium which seems better. So far like parcel storm, rogue transmission and dawnbreaker maps. There was 3 of us on tonight and had a lot of fun. Cant wait to get some better guns though

What are the maps like for size compared to bf3, does it 'feel' like bf3 ?
I didn't like the beta map much. I've read that there are some people having problems with lag, hit detection and crashes, I'm sure things will improve with patches.

BTTF there are 10 maps in total some small metro like and others large. Is very much like BF3 but with slightly better graphics. Siege of Shanghai which you played on the Beta is I would say one of the smaller maps. I am starting to enjoy it. Hopefully we will get more team play although i haven't heard much in game chat yet.

I have Commander down now. Can put crates where I want and Cruise Missiles right up those pesky campers butts. I really only play Commander and Assault. |
