Alright you guys, ArmA 3 will be released September 12, 2013. Right around the corner! I will be creating a "campaign" type of operation where we will be working on the same operation with different and unique missions every week for a long time. This will all take place on the new map Altis that will come with the release. I do want this operation to be fun and exciting as well as a step up in professionalism that previous missions. Therefore, I would like people in specialty roles to be in those roles throughout the campaign. So I will be hosting training sessions for each of these roles instead of making separate operations.
These sessions will be every Wednesday at 8:00 p.m. EST until the release of ArmA 3.
The first session will be for anyone wanting to be a Squad/Fireteam leader in this operation. This session will take place 8/28/13 at 8:00 p.m. EST.
This role is by far the most important role in any operation. Therefore I really encourage anyone that has any interest in leading to attend this session!
The second session will be for anyone wanting to be a pilot in this operation. This session will take place 9/4/13 at 8:00 p.m. EST.
The third and final session will be for anyone wanting to be a sniper and other possible specialty roles. This session will take place 9/11/13 at 8:00 p.m. EST.
I would really like to see everyone who attends my missions be at all 3 of these sessions, even if you don't have an interest in each session. The knowledge people will gain from these sessions will help assist the operation's smoothness and professionalism.
If you have any questions whatsoever, feel free to get in contact with me via forums/TeamSpeak. Thank you!
Also, if you guys can help spread the word about this, I would greatly appreciate it!

Sorry Lambourne, I just read your post today and so also missed the first session. Unless I accidentally stumbled into it when I joined you and Schilling for a few minutes last night. I'll be ready for the next one. Also, is the Altis map available through the Steam update process? And will installing it now, mess up the ability to play multiplayer on other servers?

McGuirk, the map is available on Steam. I posted how to do it responding to Scriv's post on the Altis map PS: I think Lambourne has started something here! Maybe we could have training mission requests like crew members 'operating armor' etc.

Don't worry Mcguirk I posted it on here after you had left! This is something I believe we all would enjoy! Not just the training but give the custom made missions ago they are great fun. Wobbly have a look at the PCGN forums ARMA section, I will also try get schilling to create an account on ours as he spends a lot of time creating the missions and he is really interested in more =SWF= participation as we are well respected within the community.

Hey guys! Glad the interest is here for my missions, I only hope I can exceed your expectations with the missions! I am always happy to see more and more SWF members joining in on my missions as you guys are professional and know how to participate in that sort of teamwork environment. If you guys have any questions or suggestions, let me know!

Thanks, Lambourne. Sound great!! Appreciate your putting these types of events together.

It's found in the "Other video games & video games industry" sub-forum. It's pinned so it's always the first one on the list. Here's a link: spartanwf.proboards.com/thread/1537/which-games-own-version-2Looks horrible now because the forums have chaged a bit. I'll see what I can do about it when I have time. Now there's a link even on my forum signature!

Sounds good Shaun, I'll appreciate any help with the complexities of ArmA 3. I was still away for the first training event but I will try to attend this weeks, although I'm not much of a flier. I'd like to take on the position of 'grunt' for the clan missions
