Useful info BTTF, thanks. I've not read it all through yet but it seems we are lucky with our Vanguard compared to the other factions battle tanks ;D (although it doesn't always appear so ) On the subject of tank weapons, I think it is down to how you play or what you objectives are. I have used all the Heat, AP and HE and found that the Heat is a good compromise. Originally I used AP shells for the Vanguard as a tank killer and HE for the Lightning as an infantry killer. I now use the Heat for all because the AP was useless against infantry and HE was useless against tanks. You get a bit of both with the Heat ;D I will be back on Auraxis more regularly when I can shake this Euro Truck Sim 2 game Jeez, it is so addictive

I was on Amerish the other night and had a gunner on the Enforcer. I saw two Magriders approaching the base we had just left. I flanked around them hitting the first one in the rear. We destroyed both tanks and only took half damage with help of the shield.
I think having a gunner in one to one tank battles is essential.
I will unlock AP rounds and use them only in large vehicle battles. But you are right, HEAT is a great all rounder.
