With the less than stellar reviews on Iron Front Liberation I've decided to download and install the free WW2 mod for Arma2 called Invasion 1944. If I can convince a couple Spartans to do the same we will be able to try some co-op missions together. Here's the download page: www.invasion-1944.com/download-i44/You need Arma2 Combined Operations installed and something called CBA. A link to CBA is on the download page. We can also download some Co-op missions later to get us started. Hopefully this will give us the team play experience we're looking for in an historical WW2 environment. I believe this mod is western front, post D-Day. |

I am willing to play mods of Battlefield 2 and ArmA 2. Able is another story. I have been getting a lot of quality family time since my return from Afghanistan. I am very interested participating in events and will try to make each and everyone of them with the understanding I may be out of town or attending a family event.
- Most interested in playing a ready-made mission of ArmA 2
- Would like very much to organize a BF3 event to get a high participation clan photo
- Considering another "Giveaway" event in the near future
- BF2, PR, FH2 ... YES
- Even, BF3 with laserman
I would like to get psyco, ironside, fry, and glockman out of semi-retirement onto the BF2 battlefield

With the two expansions if possible, so everyone could download the Heroes Unleashed mod. You might have gotten annoyed how we are always praising Ghost Recon and playing it. But there is a reason for it: it's that good. It's tactical, it requires teamwork (just check the "who did you play online with and when" thread where I describe our matches against the AI) and it is pretty realistic. You get shot once to the head or the chest, you die. Get shot in the leg, you limp for the rest of your life. Get shot in the arm, which hasn't happened to me yet, and you should have troubles aiming. The same applies to the enemies of course, they are no bullet sponges that soak up all the bullets you fire at them. This doesn't still mean you can go running and shooting everyone. The enemies are deadly accurate on medium range and as I said, the bullets are deadly. I'd be glad to play BF2 with the "veterans". Or rather FH2 and PR, but still. It would be very nice if they got interested in Forgotten Hope 2. There is always a shortage of men on the front. |
