Perhaps, it was in person and you do not have a recording of the event. Tell us which time your national anthem was at its best. If there is an excellent version of you national anthem share it here.

January 1991 at the Super Bowl
Here is my memory of the best singing of the United States National Anthem.
Boy was I crushed to find out we had stolen the music from the United Kingdom and had just changed the words.

I wanted to post Brian Mays live version with his electric guitar on top of buckngham palace, but it wont let me so here is just the full version as very rarly is the full verson used.
I always find royal/national events good to watch as they make you feel more proud than the anthem for example; Troop the Colour(Thats when the Sovereign's birthday is officially celebrated), Jubilees,

Does the British National Anthem change when the primary royal position is a King?
The version on the video is Queen, she, and her. When a king takes over the throne doe it change to King, he, and him?

Lamborne, I checked out the Brian May, Buckingham palace thing and it was great. He was the best part of the closing ceremonies of the 2012 olympics. I love his guitar solo in "WE will rock you." Its one of those "crank up the volume" moments whenever I hear it. That reminds me of the Jimi Hendrix,Star Spangled Banner at woodstock. Here's the link:
