How about a poll about whether Battlefield 3 is a worthy sequel to Battlefield 2 or not? I'd like to see what the other people in the clan think about it... The question is not if BF3 is a good game on its own, but is it a good sequel to BF2. I hope this isn't a too sensitive topic anymore. Please tell us how you voted and why? It used to be that only the Webmaster could initiate a poll. Now, all registered forum users can initiate a poll. |

I voted "No." In my opinion some of the most important innnovative parts of BF2 were removed.

I voted "no". BF3 is a mess. It should have been a PC-only title with the consoles getting the Bad Company series. There is a main menu and an in-game server browser on the console version. I believe squad VoIP is also included. What happened to the pc version? What happened to teamwork, big maps, vehicles and to everything? Why is the destruction limited when compared to BC2? Why are the squads so small, why can you spawn on any squad member, why can't the squad leader put various markers on the map? Why didn't BF3 have all the features BF2 had plus more, instead of having less features than BF2?
The question is not if BF3 is a good game on its own, but is it a good sequel to BF2. I hope this isn't a too sensitive topic anymore.

Great stand alone game for consoles but the like others have posted a lot of the features that made BF2 special are gone.
I agree the PC market got shafted.
I hope with PS4 being more of a PC BF4 might be better.

I can't vote from my phone, I would say NO.
I agree that leaving out the teamplay tools prevented it from being a true successor to BF2.
Wobbly's right, it's more a very good sequel to BFBC2 with jets and prone.

Have voted yes  Graphics and gun physics are just superb compared to BF2. I would have liked to have seen more of the team play elements come across from BF2 though. |
