I would like to provide the following recommendations to further improve our Battlefield Community:
.
Battlefield Community Directory
- Clans
- Leagues and Tournaments
- Battlefield information websites
- Game Server providers
.
The directory would be kept up-to-date by automated emails to the account creator from EA/DICE every 3 months requiring feedback via an interactive website. Participating sites would be categorized as “Active” for 3 months, shift to “Inactive” for 3 months, and be removed at the 6 month mark.
.
The flow of information relating to significant events has gotten a little bit better. Now instead of the event being 75% complete or completed, we are discovering the existence of events the day before. I believe there are enthusiastic fans that would like to participate in some of the BIG events. In order to do so, they need time to plan. Please build, disseminate, and keep updated a calendar populating past and future events.
.
Battlefield Community Calendar
- Gaming Industry events (E3, Tokyo Game Show, Gamescom, etc.)
- Industry Gaming awards (voting periods and award announcement)
- Tournaments
- Patches and releases
- Scheduled maintenance
- Competitions (Video, Images, etc.)
- Giveaways (Twitter activity)
.
This would be a very powerful tool to keep our Community informed and mobilized for big events.
.
Prioritized list of which tasks are being worked by DICE with:
Red (not being worked)
Amber (being discussed and work is getting started)
Green (solid amount has been done and should be implemented soon)
.
DICE Feedback - There needs to be an effective/efficient way to get answers to your customers.
.
In the EA UK Forum, there are too many repeat threads that need to be merged. And, the very common topics need to be turned into stickies.
