My Bios chip on the motherboard had become corrupted and unfortunately I needed to replace the chip. Yes, it has arrived!! It arrived this morning. I installed it and after a few small issues im back in business!
I now am also the proud owner of the fastest SATA Hard Drive on the planet! A Western Digital 300GB VelociRaptor. And for all those that are sceptical on how a Hard disk effects performance then just wait till we are loading into BF2. Takes me a couple of seconds! Very nice.
So all fixed and back in business!

Its strange, this HD is fantastic no doubt! But for some reason some loads of BF2 take around 4 seconds from clicking join game in the server list to clicking "join" after varifying, but others can take for ever! I mean maybe a minute perhaps longer!
So I dont know what is going on there. However there is definatly a difference in all applications within windows. Its a great piece of kit.
