Ok so Caspian Border is buggy and was almost unplayable due to graphics glitches and freezes, I stumbled across a possible fix and its works miracles for me. I suggest that to avoid ANY potential problems off the bat Spartans for the BETA on this map use the following settings.
Turn Ambient Occlusion - off Turn Anti Aliasing Differed - off Turn Anti Aliasing Post - off
All other settings can be ultra or whatever you want. This is not because your system is not powerful enough it does not matter if your system is #1 in the world you can still have these problems, this is a BETA problem on a 7 week old test map using BETA drivers and software.
BTW.... I did not even notice a difference in graphics quality when I set these to off, so nothing lost but stability gained that sounds like a total win to me.

Thanks for the heads up Spartan. Personaly I'm not too bothered as the beta is about to close and the full release is but a few weeks away ! All Spartans that have played the beta know that BF3 has so much potential, and after playing 'Caspian Border' I think we are going to be back at home.!!

Thats right no longer a BETA driver and optimized for the release version of BF3 is the new Nvidia 285.62 driver that with a GTX 580 offers 6% performance improvement and with a GTX 560-570 gets an 11% improvement. While that does not sound like much remember we are in the full retail version of the game and from all accounts even on servers with 200ms ping people were smoothly gaming at 60FPS in 1920x1080 on GTX 560's WITHOUT this driver. Is this one necessary to play the game? I had to update to 285.38 just to play during beta. Confusing matters was an nVidia post saying they were recommending 281.cc for stability. I finally got the beta 285.38 and was good to go. I was running beta at roughly 720p and had no issues.720p on a 17.3" screen is plenty of resolution. If you're on anything under 32" screen, there shouldn't be a need for more rez than 720p. At 62" screen size,1080p would help with finer details...

well if you want better framerates then yes, this is WHQL certified for stability. These are NOT BETA drivers and you did not have to use the BETA drivers during the BF3 BETA, you could dismiss that notice that pops up. I play on a 24" screen in 1920x1080x32 @ 60hz and I can tell a difference between 720P and 1080P especially with a Monster Ultimate HD1000 HDMI cable.

I beg to differ on the driver issue. I could login, but I couldn't join a server until 285.38 was installed. I saw no choice to continue... Maybe I missed it...

I played the ENTIRE BETA with the WHQL drivers, the BETA ones caused my system to freeze.

But of course it does, its an Nvidia WHQL certified driver, Nvidia is awesome at drivers, that's one of the reasons why I exclusively use Nvidia Graphics.

Ok, now you sound like you are a major shareholder... I look at price and performance. I had no choice on the ASUS, but I agree, I like the user friendliness!

I've stuck with Nvidia as I read they they perform better with the frostbite engine.
