I check Twitter on Demize99 (lead Dev for bf3), battlefield, and Zh1nt0 (DICE community Dev lead), it has been CONFIRMED by Demize99 on twitter than the STANDARD IN GAME VOICE CHAT IS SET TO TEAM, the YOU CAN SWITCH to SQUAD. This means that FINALLY teamwork and coordination are back as far a communications go, NICE WORK DICE!

BF3 Beta Map
Reply by sfscriv in the EA UK Forum
What is the purpose of the Beta? A gift out of the goodness of DICE's heart or an opportunity to stress test the overall BF3 gaming system and to gather feedback on gameplay and bugs?
Looks like DICE has lost touch with a number of things:
- The Beta is their opportunity to polish their product before releasing the game.
- How could Battlefield Fans be excited about a small, Infantry Only (IO) map being used for the Beta? Battlefield Fans want to fly jets and helicopters, drive tanks and Armor Personnel Carriers (APCs), and maneuver on a Big Battlefield map.
- How is a small COD-style map going to properly test the overall system? A bigger map with more gamers and multiple vehicles would provide a much better test of the overall Battlefield gaming system.
Feel like we are ungrateful? Was any thought put into the impact of using a Call-of-Duty map for the Beta? Or, was it the only map ready for the test?
DICE, you made the mistake and you need to own-up to it.

Many people did not have the foresight to see the BIG bus driven by EA/DICE that was about to run over the Battlefield Community to pickup the COD-kiddies.

We should be able to use Xfire, TS3, and BattleLog until DICE is able to fix the in-game VoIP.
