Well Wobb, from first impressions the "WoWP" is pants. The one I have been playing "War Thunder - world of planes" is way way better. WoWP is more arcade like, and I know I said that about War Thunder world of planes but at least you can choose from 3 settings rather than just 3rd person. I am really disappointed with WoWP but its early days. At the end of the day its first impressions that count and at the moment I dont think I will be downloading the final version of WoWP.

Yes Wobb I feel your pain. I was expecting so much more from the screen shots but it really is pants. You should get your name down for WAR THUNDER-WORLD OF PLANES. In the final draft you will have a number of options to choose from. You can have arcade mode or realistic to name a few. At the moment we have moved into the pacific and I much prefer to fly the Japs. The Zero is beast and rules the sky. So Wobb get your name down now at the following address. www.gaijinent.com/en/games/warthunder_worldofplanes/Cop-u-later

No mate, they seem to be keeping all info close to the chest att. There are rumours that it may be sometime this month and then I hear that there is still a lot of testing to do. So who knows mate. Just get your dad's info and log onto your machine with it.
Hang in there mate, its coming

Hey, I finally got on to the 'War Thunder' closed beta ;D I've got to say it is TOTALLY addictive. Looks amazing, sounds good, easy to set up. Loads of game modes online and off, scaleable difficulty. There is so much to this game I will have to write it down as I'm playing I gather it is structured the same as 'World of Tanks' You earn points with kills/achievements and rank up unlocking planes. The points are used to 'train' the crews of each of your aircraft eg. vision, G-tolerance, reload speed etc. Remember, this is a free game. It will not appeal to all, but I think the flyers amongst us should give it a shot. Open beta is approaching
