I voted for Kharag Island. Keep in mind I only have experience with the initial maps that came with the game. Here is my favorite part of my favorite map in BF3:

I only had B2K and Armour Kill expansions.

Karkand was my favourite BF2 map but I was disappointed they weren't able to reproduced the industrial side fully. Although the rest seemed faithful to the original there was just something about it that didn't 'feel' right. Maybe it was the access to most of the buildings that changed the dynamics........I don't know

Initially enjoying the more infantry focused maps, as I got better in tanks I found myself coming back to the three original medium sized maps, Caspian, Firestorm and Kharg.

In the end I think Khargs lack of trees and tall buildings making it easier to lock on to helicopters that made this my favourite map.
It's size and layout made it both good for infantry and vehicles alike.

Gulf of Oman. I never really liked it in BF2, but in BF3 it feels better.

I like Operation Firestorm good tank map.
And Infantry has a good fighting chance with the buildings.

Mine has to be Caspian Border. Have spent many a happy hour with clanmates on this map

I enjoy Armored Shield. Love the open field feeling of it, and I'd say it's the closest they could possibly get to Operation Harvest, which was my second favorite BF2 map.

I like caspian Border personally, its big enough for a good battle but there is also cover so you dont get raped my jets and choppers on the ground. I also like the fact that you can fly into the BIG tower because you didt see it/ wasnt payng attention and kill you teammates!!!! I'm sure Scriv would agree with me on that one. ;p
