The Last of Us is an upcoming survival horror action-adventure game developed by Naughty Dog. It was officially revealed on December 10, 2011 and is scheduled for a worldwide release on June 14, 2013 as a PlayStation 3 exclusive. Naughty Dog is the developer of: Uncharted: Drake's Fortune - 2007 Uncharted 2: Among Thieves - 2009 Uncharted 3: Drake's Deception - 2011 The game focuses on two survivors, an adult Joel and a young Ellie, trekking across a post-apocalyptic United States. The story is set two decades after a cordyceps-type fungus has killed millions, with nature gradually retaking the abandoned cities and towns. The survivors are hemmed inside quarantine zones, completely under the heel of the United States military, with order and screening for any Infected being viciously maintained under martial law. Joel, a hardened black-marketeer within one of the quarantine zones, goes through an event which makes him promise an old friend that he will get a young, fourteen year old girl named Ellie, away from the harsh regime. They begin a journey through the USA, avoiding the Infected, humanoid creatures whose sole aim has become spreading the fungal infection. Joel and Ellie also have to avoid scavengers that survive outside the quarantine zones who see Joel and Ellie as their latest prey. Adding to their problems, the military is determined to find Ellie and bring her back under their power. The Last of Us uses third-person view. The player will take control of Joel, while Ellie will be controlled by the AI. The game will involve gun fighting and melee combat as well as a cover system. The player will fight off the Infected — former humans — and the Survivors — humans that are not infected, but are hostile towards Joel and Ellie. A new gameplay mechanic is a feature the developers call "dynamic stealth", meaning that there are many different types of strategies and techniques that the player can use at any given time as they approach a new situation, to which enemies will react differently.

Great game I recommend it.I knew a lot of the Boston locations and the developers did a good job with the accuracy of that.

Al would like this a lot of stealth and you really have to think. The enemy AI is top notch they will charge, and when you pull a weapon they will change tactics very quickly.
My advice craft a lot of shivs and be thorough when looking for items.

Al would like this a lot of stealth and you really have to think. You summoned me, sir? From the depths of Finland I have arrived and I am pleased about what I've seen here. Last of Us looks incredible, the HUD is minimalistic, there isn't a ton of ammo lying around (in fact there seems to be very few BULLETS to be found, nevermind magazines), it's set in a post-apocalyptic world, there's stealth, there's action (but not mindless action!), and there's adventuring! It's just that I don't have a PS3. I do have an Xbox 360, and will probably get a PS4. But can you even play PS3 games with a PS4? I would quite surely buy the game in that case.

I give it a 10.
1)Graphics are fantastic as is the sound you could hear birds and other wild life. The voice acting was fantastic better than most movies.I have not detected glitches and framerates were very smooth IMO.
2)Story is well written and I have really got into it.There are some very sad parts in the game and I could see people losing their morality very easily. All through the game you find notes and other artifacts that tell some more of the story. And manuals to upgrade your knowledge to make more effective weapons. When the outbreak happened Martial law was declared and the Goverment set up QZs in cities to keep out the infected. It is very oppressive and draconian and you are trying to help a resistance group called the Fireflies. Some QZs the residents rebelled and took over and they are called hunters and refugees are called tourist.
3)Gameplay:This is a third person game.Weapons and ammo is very limited so you need to really look around and scrounge. Also I recommend upgrading your weapons every chance you get so you can carry more ammo and such.Crafting is also important I like the molotovs to take out groups of enemies. You can also find PEDs that allow you to upgrade your hearing, crafting etc.I recommend maxing out your hearing first it is your best friend. And the shiv is a very useful tool keep them maxed in Inventory. You can also make med kits or find them and you are limited in how many you can carry.I tend to use stealth or melee weapons and save my ammo for large groups of enemies. The campaign is of decent length as I am maybe halfway through so far.
4)Dislikes:None really so far.
5)Online mode: I believe there is a MP part to this game but none of my friends have tried it yet.I'll have to check it out when I finish the campaign.
Al,the PS4 will not have playback capability as it will be a more PC based console.I'm sure one will be able to download it in the future from playstation store.

Finished it last night. Great ending and it had quite the twist in the end. Best game I have played this year.A friend told me multiplayer is ok no way to use mics. I'm more of a first person online gamer.
I would recommend playing it for the whole experience and story.I liked this game better than the Uncharted games.
