I would love to have the proper software for recording and editing. No impact on the online gaming and the ability to easily and cleanly cut scences and add overlays. Then there is the balancing of sound tracks: the in-game sounds, teamspeak, music (if desired), and other sound effects. The battle recorder included with BF2 was very good could you fly through and get different angles. The bad part was it was hard to get smooth movement and you could not rewind.
When I use Fraps, - there is a serious impact on the online performance - I want good resolution - Storage space
I tried video editing a DVD movie using Slysoft AnyDVD in 2007. The audio and image desynchronized. Everytime I played the video it got worse.
I would like a good suite for video editing that is not hugely expensive or complicated.

What do you have in your mind, creating all these threads about video editing? A spectacular movie showing the might of the Spartan War Fighters? Some regular gameplay videos? More cow launching videos? Those were fun to watch.

Scriv, Here's a link to a comparison/review of editing software for the PC. video-editing-software-review.toptenreviews.com/One that's not on the list is Edius Neo by Grass Valley. I use the full professional version of Edius at work and find it fast and very capable. Keep in mind that editing video on the PC can require a good deal of processor power and hard drive speed especially if you're dealing with HD video and multiple tracks.

Right now I'm working on getting dxtory to capture high quality video from my games, but so far (using the tips in the video that BTTF linked in the Videos thread) it doesn't seem to be working as well as it should. I may continue to use fraps for recording. As for editing, I've found that Adobe Premiere works best, and that is the program I used for all of my new videos currently posted on my youtube channel (starting from the first Chivalry video, and up to my most recent DayZ video. I watched a really nice tutorial on Adobe Premiere that I found on youtube, and I will link that video later (it is the only video on my favorites on youtube -- if you are able to find my channel favorites, you will see the Adobe Premiere tutorial there). It is a very powerful editing program, and I plan to continue using it for all of my gaming videos.
