Mounted:I would suggest the most important for mounted being a Sunderer (APC) upgraded for 'spawn point' and 'vehicle ammo re-supply'.
This is useful not only for the squad, but for the whole NC ;D.

It is also by default a kit change/resupply point.
I think this vehicle is a 12 seater, but if under attack the driver can switch to gunners with F2/F3 for defense if alone.
Kit wise, it is good to be an Engi while traveling in vehicles
Once at the destination though, squad members can change to fav (required/specialized) kits at captured consoles.
The above is a good situation if the rest of the squad are in 2-seater heavy tanks (one each) You can switch to secondary gun with F2 and back F1
If your vehicle is destroyed your buddies will pick you up (having spare seat)
Sometimes only single seater Lightnings are available.....Get in em......
Dismounted:I think you are not far off there Scriv, but I would throw in an Engineer
(I think you forgot about this laddie)
So one of each kit for a 6 man squad ideally.
Light Assault..........Use jetpacks to get behind enemy and destroy generators/cause havoc
Heavy assault.........Armored killing machine & AV/AA
Engineer..................Repair (especially genies if defending) & re-supply/powerful deploy able MG ;D
Sniper......................Infiltrate and hack enemy consoles
Medic.......................Revive/heal
Max..........................AA/AV or anti personnel or all of the above. Needs looking after by an Engi though.

Aircraft:Shit, this is difficult
Fighters are either 1 or 3seaters. Transport is 20 odd? with lots of guns.
Kits in transit would be depending on the destination. (same as dismounted)
All in one Galaxy, or some with fighter escorts would be cool. Take it from me though, I have not yet survived a flight in the air
