That's right the developers from the ORIGINAL Ghost Recon and Rainbow Six series have banded together to bring back tactical realism. Takedown as the game is called is a true first person tactical shooter, using tactics and critical thinking, taking things slow will win the day. Takedown has the funding to proceed thanks to Kickstarter.org. Interested? Click the link below takedownthegame.com/

Takedown: Red Sabre (that's the new name) will be coming out on September 20th. Total Biscuit aka The Cynical Brit has made a decent preview video of it. In short, it's very much like the original Rainbow Six and Ghost Recon games in the way that it's brutal, you can't just run around firing on full auto and teamwork is required. The mission objectives and enemy locations are randomised so there should be good replayability. I don't know how many maps or weapons will it have, but there's at least co-op and deathmatch game modes available. You don't have to unlock anything at all, which is good news. Grinding for new weapons and attachments in modern games is just boring and takes away from the fun. The graphics aren't the best you've seen in years, but the developers had a rather strict budget so it's forgivable.
Takedown: Red Sabre could very well be a very good game, but I'm going to wait until it's released, watch some gameplay videos and read reviews, as usual. If someone feels generous, they can buy a four-pack for about 50 euros and give the extra three to fellow clan members...
