I just got it as a gift from a friend in Steam. Does anyone have it? Is it good?
The 4 in the name isn't a pure coincidence. The game and its prequel are putting a big emphasis on four-player co-op. Should be a good teamwork game.
You can get it from Steam for just a fiver, a bundle with both L4D games for 7,49€ or even a four-pack for 14,99€! You can of course gift the extra three games to your friends.

What is the difference between L4T 1 and L4D 2? answers.wikia.com/wiki/What_is_the_Difference_Between_Left_4_dead_and_Left_4_dead_2Basically the levels are longer and more complex in L4D 2, with more weapons (including melee ones), add-ons to weapons, and new special zombies. I have played both games since the start and i BLOODY love them they are great fun to play with friends!!!!! whats your steam name al, ad ill join to for a game! or 2 or 3 etc.... It's "al_thelegendary" without the quotation marks. I'm sure it's going to be... bloody fun. Very bloody.

So is L4D 2 much better in all respects or did it loose features with the newer version?

l4d 2 is better, because they included all the old maps etc for free so you get the best of both games!

Holy cow! That's awesome!
...Although the question arises, why didn't they just call it an expansion pack and require the original game? Either way, it Left 4 Dead 2 should provide us hours of co-operative fun. I'll try to get it downloaded and installed for the weekend.

I got it installed now. How many of us have the game? I know that I, Lambourne and Spartan have it.
