The Mojave Mile is a standing start, mile long, one at a time, run what you brung race. It is for top speed vice a timed event and anyone can enter. I just competed today for the first time. It was well organized and a lot of fun. I would describe it as the ultimate car show where you get to look at them then watch them go for broke. My little Mitsubishi Eclipse didn't even come close to the value of most cars but I did go 122.5 MPH which was close to a couple cars worth more than twice as much as mine. I could have done better but the day was getting short and hot so I decided to head home early after only two runs. Next time I run I will have a cold air intake and custom exhaust for sure and maybe a couple other upgrades. More information on the Mojave mile can be found here. Here is the video I took from in my car.
