Are you happy with your existing Anti-viru software?
Can you recommend other security related software?

I am looking for new software for anti-virus/spyware. I really hate lots of pop ups and automatic updates. I would appreciate your opinion on some good options.

I use avira, which is also free and reliable. Winpatrol is a handy little programme that lets you know if anything wants to put a programme into your boot up protocol.

I also use the above along side Spyware Terminator. I have had the best of luck with both. If you choose to use Spyware Terminator in conjunction with Avira or any other anti virus software don't use the antivirus built into Spyware Terminator. Also, don't use the realtime protection unless you like getting warnings every time you click a link.

I have Norton internet security and i have never had any problems. When I install programs i get à pop up window where Norton say it's ok or not and I can choose to install. Otherwise it's quiet, unless you get a virus of course.

I have just installed bitdefender after doing some research. It seems to rate well on most sites and is quite resonably priced. anti-virus-software-review.toptenreviews.com/It was much cheaper from amazon that downloading direct. There is one for 3 pc's which is very useful as I have it on my laptop as well. Used to have webroot which I found went downhill.
