You'd think it's easy to just place some mines and c4 on the ground and that's it, but I think you need to plan carefully where do you place them. I guess they had an unpopulated server where they could try it uninterrupted. Even without enemies (or friendlies) to care about that's quite a feat.

It looks like they burned stuff into the ground, possibly with c4 like you said. Maybe I'll try it... I have c4 unlocked.  |

C4 doesn't make that black mark. At least not where I tried it. They must have used something else. Not sure what though.

Try grenades, AT mines and claymores. And all kinds of missiles.

That's a modded game on someones computer. More than likely done during a lan party. The flyng APC and the dude smiling in game gave it away.

I thought there was no lan on BF3. Or a way to mod the game. But I think you can make any vehicle fly just like in BC2: if you have friendly fire off, lay a huge pile of mines somewhere and drive the vehicle of your choice to that spot. Then detonate the mines by using a grenade or something. Because ff is off, the vehicle is not destroyed, but because of the game physics the vehicle is sent flying in the air. There are lots of videos on Youtube about it, especially on Bad Company 2. And in BF3 beta you could send people flying if they were laying on a tank's cannon.
