PS2: Metal Gear Solid

This is a Play Station 2 game that was released in 2001. It's old, but it was top knotch for its time. Very good story line, amazing graphics for a PS2, and opening sequence will look very similar to the opener for COD4. The first mission is stealth oreinted and the final task is simple and realistic. Bad ass initial insertion technique.

I have played all the Metal Gear games.MGS4 was the best IMO it answered all the questions about Solid Snake and Big Boss.And who the Patriots are and Ocelots role in the saga.

Loved MGS on PS1, real ground breaking stuff at the time.

But just couldn't get into Sons of Liberty though.

Really got into TOCA the touring car racing sim, all the uk tracks mapped, very realistic handling (apparently). Also Formula 1 with all the tracks from the season, although none of them oval enough for the American market.

A Metal Gear Solid HD collection can be bought for PS3 and Xbox 360. I haven't, but just for MGS3 I could. If I only had enough time...

I enjoyed MGS and MGS4 I skipped the ones in between.
The original MG was a great game spent many hours playing that.

Ikari Warriors used a lot of my time also.

I'm still wondering how did BTTF get from Metal Gear Solid, a stealth game, to TOCA, a driving game in a thread dedicated to MGS?

My initial thought was that it had to be either one of those. I guess I was right. The thread title is "PS2: Metal Gear Solid 2: Sons of Liberty" and not "Discussion about Metal Gear Solid and random racing games".

It will be released for PS Vita in June might have to get it.

It was the "Sons of Liberty" that threw him off.

The Vita version in HD is great.

You get Sons of Liberty,Snake Eater and the the original 2 games from NES.
Plus the VR mission and a lot of extra stuff.

This should keep me busy for a long time.
As there is not much in the pipeline for Vita releases.

I really enjoy playing this game.
One has to remember to save often.
I got to use to auto save on other games.

I do hate the boss battles in this game.
MGS3 Snake eater is fun though.I like that you have to eat to keep up stamina and what camo you wear is a factor.

Love the perverted camera angles on females in this series.Japanese perverts at their finest.
I don't like how homosexuality is promoted in MGS2 with Vamp and in 3 with Col.Volgin.
Had I known that I would not have bought the game.

I really enjoyed Sons of Liberty on PS2 and couldn't get into Snake Eater. It was probably due to my dedication toward Battlefield 2.
