If you've read the EA UK forums (nowadays also known as Mordor), you may have noticed how Scriv is being praised and people are starting to notice how he was right all along. Almost a year before BF3 was released, Scriv started making threads on how to improve Battlefield. And then he started to get worried (and so did I) and had to start trying to save the core Battlefield features, such as vehicular combat, teamwork, commo rose, commander, squad leader, squads...
Well, we all know what happened in the end. DICE didn't read their own forums or listen to their fans, and released a game that is very far from what you'd expect from Battlefield. BF3 wasn't a true successor to BF2, and was closer to CoD than to Project Reality, or even BF2 vanilla.

According to bfmedics, another forum user who tried to save Battlefield (and got banned), here's the evolution of an average forum goer: (can be found on page 4 from the "my bad scriv" thread)

Scriv has made some very great threads, and I especially liked the one about fireteams within a squad. I had a good laugh in some thread where someone said something along these lines "hey scriv, if you really like this stuff why don't you join the army or something? We don't need this in BF." but in a less friendly manner I think.
