Each one of us voted when we bought a Battlefield game and each time we fight on a map, we are voting for that specific map. DICE has no regard for your actual likes and dislikes. DICE is focused on the numbers/telemetry/metrics and makes their development decisions on your actual actions and, the other big influencer, the most purchased series in the First Person Shooter (FPS) genre, Call of Duty (COD)/Modern Warfare (MW).
Unfortunately, you MUST be disciplined and VOTE by staying away from maps that encourage undesirable gameplay and play as much as you can the maps you enjoy.
You should also vote with your wallet and resist the urge to buy a DLC "map pack" that could potentially influence the course of the whole Battlefield series.
Be Strong and Cast Your VOTE!!!!

I've always enjoyed infantry only, I never got the hang of flying in BF2 and I eventually got tired of being bombed into submission. Grand Bazzar is probably my favourite map and I usually do ok on Metro, BC2 was better training for that than BF2. I like the bigger maps too but tend to do better on foot than in a vehicle. But with ECM making the heli hard to take down I'm starting to get a feeling of deja vu. That said, I don't want BF3 going down the CQ combat route. There's very little of BF2 left in it and without equal support for large vehicle maps the MW mutation would be complete.
