Kimi Räikkönen (names Raikkonen, Raekkoenen used by people with no älphäbets), one of the best Finnish F1 drivers ever, is going to be in Top Gear on Sunday! Kimi is back in the Formula 1 series (he did some rally racing for a while), racing for Lotus this time. He is one of the best F1 drivers in the world, and has one championship from the year 2007, while racing for Ferrari. He's been one of the most well-payed athletes in the world. ( www.forbes.com/2009/06/17/top-earning-athletes-business-sports-top-earning-athletes.html ) He is known for his speaking: he doesn't speak much, and is knows as the Iceman due to being so cool and calm. But back to Top Gear: if you live in the UK, it will be aired on 11.3. (March 11.) on BBC Two. I have no idea when will it be aired in Finland, let alone the rest of the world. Series 17 is being shown right now in Finland, and this episode is from season 18. Seems to be a funny episode (although 99% of the episodes are funny), so remember to watch it if you can! Anyway, here's a teaser video: It is revealed that Räikkönen is The Stig's hero. The Stig just talks less (actually he doesn't speak at all) and drives more. ;D

Räikkönen just won a week ago in Abu Dhabi. It's his first win while working for Lotus. And his first win after his break when he tried rally racing. Some radio chatter between him and the team has already become quite classic...
And years ago, when the legendary 7-time champion Michael Schumacher retired (only to come back after a few years) and was having a sort of a retirement party right after his last race, Räikkönen wasn't there. A reporter asked why.
BBC later apologized from the viewers and promised not to broadcast any of Kimi's interviews live anymore.

I won't be able to see that one for a while yet. Buggs the hell out of me that we are so far behind here in the states.

Do you mean the race? I got to see it live (on a paid Finnish channel) and I could've seen it again the following day on one of the regular channels.
...or do you mean the Top Gear episode? It was aired in March in the UK and I think three months later here in Finland.

Top Gear. We have to wait until the series is finished airing in the UK before we get to see it in the states.
