I was just about to post about zhinto's Teamspeak chat session. From what I've gathered, he's the only one allowed to speak, and the others will just type. This is done so that everyone wouldn't be speaking in the same time. At least this is what has been done previously. And someone said there aren't even many people on the server anyway. And as if that wasn't enough, the few who were speaking were speaking in Swedish. So it would be quite helpful if our Swedish speakers (even if Swedish is our second official language, I can't speak more than a couple of sentences) went there and asked him some questions. And if that doesn't work, they could just go and arrest him, and then ask the questions. Of course anyone who's able to join the Teamspeak Q&A session should join. But what are the most important questions? What do we want to know? (asking "why?" will probably be answered with "money", so don't bother asking that kind of questions) Will the squad leader be able to place map markers like in BF2, in a future patch? Will the commo rose be updated to be at least as useful as in BF2, or even made better? Will the consoles get a commo rose in an update? Will the upcoming DLC include big maps (as in good for 64 players)? I can actually translate one question: varför? And the answer: pengar. Wow, I'm better than I thought.

I will participate in this and not login on Friday. It will be interesting to see how server traffic is affected.

I am concerned the word was not wide spread enough. The main effortof the Blackout was to have DICE communicate withe the Community. Battlefieldo declared success with the DICE release of the patch list.
I still believe we should take the day off, but believe the number of participants in the effort will be low.
Thank you for your support!

I won't be playing it today, haven't played for weeks, and probably won't play for a long while. It's easy to not play BF3, since there are so many better games to play. BF2, FH2, PR, Ghost Recon (we'll play it today with Spartan)...
If BF3 was released now, I'd probably play it a lot, and would play it longer, since they would have had time to fix most of the stuff. But EA had to compete Activision's CoD sales by releasing BF3 unfinished and unpolished (and a week before MW3), and even the casual players are starting to lose interest already.
I've read that the CEO of EA is not a gamer at all, but just a businessman. But is it really good for business to release an unfinished product early instead of releasing a finished one later? Sure, you might get some extra sales, but soon the customers will notice the product isn't well done, and may not trust the company any more to bring well-made products to the market.

Update on this: We don't need to do the Bf3 Blackout anymore. We can play today. battlefieldo.com/threads/blackout-update-success.3957/We got what we were asking for... communication from the devs on what they are doing to fix these major issues. Well, we got it, so the people over and BattlefieldO say game on! Edit: Guess scriv already addressed this. Oh well, IF I play today it won't be for very long. On a side note... what does everyone think about the patch notes? Parts you love? Parts you hate? Parts you think they completely missed the point of?

I have quickly scanned through the list. They are at least working hard to improve things, and I think will continue to do so. IMO most of the BF2 vets requests are already catered for on hardcore servers. So the option is there ;D

I disagree, hardcore doesn't include: Commander Squadleader Command UI Full map Working commo rose 6 man squads Large maps with well placed flags, not clustered flags on large maps. Horns on jeeps..........oh yeah, we are getting those. Hmmm 1 out of 7. If this game was called BC3 I wouldn't have any complaints as such it is a great game. But Ea/ Dice having pushed this as the long awaited sequel to BF2 is just a crock of shit. Scriv, while I agree with Battlefield0 in that the Blackout was about communication only. Maybe the next boycott should be of any DLC until the game is fixed. But of that list above I think the only thing your likely to get from Dice is a repaired commo rose

I DO agree with you BTTF, but we all knew BF3 would have no relevance to BF2 and Dice's build up was bollocks. I bought BF3 game knowing this, and as such I have accepted it for what it is......a dam good game. I will be playing tonight ;D
