I'm using a 22" monitor.
What is the point of this thread? To see who has the biggest one?

Yes. The one with the biggest monitor wins. Actually, I am running a 22" monitor and my wife's new iMac has a 27" monitor making mine suddenly feel small. So I was wondering if others are using larger monitors and what their thoughts are on how it effects their gaming experience.

55" and sitting only 24" away. I feel completely imersed in the game at times and feel like I have more peripheral than with a smaller moniter. I see more detail as well and can spot enemies easier. Now if I could just get the hand eye coordination thing down I would be able to shoot and kill them.
I recently considered going to a three moniter setup but can't afford it. I looked at 22" moniters and thought it would work until I looked over at the 55" tv's. I realized I would have to get at least 36" moniters/tv's to be even close to being happy with it.
In closing having a giant moniter is great. I feel more emersed in the game and get great visual acuity because of it. Beware going too big though. You may find yourself in the same predicament I am facing right now.

As far as I know, it's not very healthy to be so close to such a big monitor. But I can understand if you get more immersed that way.
