While I'm not sure about these and I don't think I can write a detailed explanation, I'll give it a shot. If a teammate is getting shot, his health gets below a certain percentage (could be below 100 %) and you shoot the enemy before he kills your teammate, you get a savior bonus. If an enemy kills your teammate and you kill the enemy within a certain time from the teammate's death, you get an avenger bonus. If you kill an enemy enough times (five times I think), you get a Nemesis bonus (or at least the ribbon).
Well that really wasn't very detailed, but shows roughly what they are. The things I said were based on stuff I have learned in BC2 and from the BF forums, so they may or may not apply perfectly to BF3.

I see in a TacticalGamer video an engineer lay 2 AT mines next to a tank rather than risk laying them in the path of the tracks. Then get a safe distance and set off the mines with a grenade taking the tank with it. Looked like a useful tactic.

2 AT mines initiated with a grenade does seem like a useful tactic. Locking onto a target and then pointing into the sky to get the top hit on armor also looks to be of value.

A video about about ballistics, comparison of bullet drop in BF3 and real life. If you don't want to watch the whole thing, the last three mintes pretty much summarize everything.

Like he says, 'it is a game' Whatever weapon you use, you learn the ballistics whether they are realistic or not ;D

The thing I hate about these games is that you can't adjust the scope. No, instead you aim a bit/a lot higher to hit your target. Even the upcoming Sniper Elite v2 doesn't have adjustable scopes, and that game is pretty much all about sniping. And I heard Arma 2 doesn't have them either. How is that possible? Isn't Arma supposed to be as realistic as possible? And is it really so hard to make simple range adjustment controls? In PR, if you have a grenade launcher and hold down Q, you can set the range for the GL sight. 50m, 75m, 100m and so forth. This way you will hit where the reticule is pointed at.

ArmA2 does have adjustable scopes Al. As far as I know it is the most realistic game (shooter) to date. Spartan is the man to ask here. He has put in a few 1000hrs I think. However, it is because of the realism/complexity that not many play it. (In comparison to say BF/COD) Those who play it are dedicated and have to be.

G3A3 Guide - excellent video with some good factual content, I would be interested to see some more weapon guides in this series.
