Well my fellow Spartans I have said it many times that with 7 Flags Karkand is getting a FULL BF2 remake, and DICE came through like I expected and then some. Be prepared to have your eye balls explode, expect to see many Karkand Infantry Only maps when this DLC releases, for now sit back, grab a box of tissues  and enjoy the show! |

OMFG ! I really didn't believe the industrial side would be included that looks amazing. Please don't expect to see me playing any other map when this is released, I grew up in Karkand  |

But why is it so that the 6-year-old game has much better level design than the sequel? Is it because in BF2 there was only one platform to develop on, only one game mode to develop maps to and no single player to take way time from developing the multiplayer?
Some questions: When is it going to be released? Why does PS3 get a head start? How many flags do the console versions have? Is it real Conquest with an upper case "C" this time, even on consoles?

well "periscope" , BF2 maps were some of the best maps to ever be made for Battlefield (not to say that 2142 had great maps as well, but even BF2 maps were used again in 2142). Strike At Karkand is probably the biggest successful map in battlefield history, while we all love Highway Tampa and Operation Harvest, the fact is more servers ran Karkand and maxed out 64 players on it even 4-5 years later that it has made it the most successful. The awesome thing is that EA has let DICE bring in the old MP level designers for B2K to re-design them from their former glory into a whole new level of hell. Back 2 Karkand will be released early December, PS3 gets it 1 week early as they paid off EA with BIG MONEY to secure that so that it sells well on their system and to promote new system sales as some were bundled with BF3, so pretty much Sony & EA corporate greed let that happen, DICE had very little to do with that at all. I believe from PS3 game footage I saw 3 flags, they MAY get 5, this is unconfirmed to be final, all I know is the PC 64 player Conquest gets 7 flags on Strike At Karkand, Gulf Of Oman, and Sharqui Peninsula; while Wake Island 2014 gets 5 flags as it should. |

I think I've spent around 500hrs on Karkand in BF2 and a few more in 2142, can't wait to get back on it. I think it will be different gameplay with access to all or most buildings. 2142's version had this, then there wasn't destruction I think this will be the best ;D |
