Have you noticed the huge price drop in RAM lately? Three years ago I paid about $27/GB for DDR3 RAM. Today it costs about $6.50/GB! Who knows how long these prices will last. Newegg has 12GB (3x4) G- Skill 1600 DDR3 for $79US with free shipping. I'm tempted to grab these and sell my 3x2 gskill kit.

Too right Mcguirk, I was looking at my records regarding items I had brought from a particular site dealing in such things. You could have knocked me over with a feather when I saw the difference in price I had paid for ram a little over a year ago. In fact you can still pay more for the old style ram then ddr3, its madness.
So yes, stock up now because xmas time is the usual time for it to increase in price.

It is amazing how the prices have gone down for computer memory. I bought a 2 TB hard drive for a very resonable price.

Guess that means we will be seeing DDR4 and higher storage hard drives soon. What's after a terabyte? Exobyte? Either way, I'm sure we're nearing that next step. Have you heard anything new about quantum computers? If they are real, I'm pretty sure they are the next logical step. Still a long way to go till we discover faster than light travel, but every step is a milestone.

The game is much smoother, i can now minimise BF3 to switch TS channels etc... without the game crashing and my computer freezing!
