Well fellow Spartans, I was playing World Of Tanks with some of my Australian friends about 24 hours ago from this post when my system started to "hiccup" and play distorted noises as audio, I emergency reset my system to assess the situation. As of now I can not even log into windows and I am suspecting a Hardware Crash of either my SSD or Motherboard with a minimum possibility of it being just a corrupted Operating System. If it is Hardware I will not be ready for BF3 by launch and may have to wait 1 week after launch to play, mind you that my PC is my ONLY form of entertainment right now other than cable TV as i am covering the expenses of my fiancee as she is in her internship 5 days a week as a middle school mathematics teacher and she does not get paid for it, so money is tight. Within the next 24 hours i should have a definitive answer as to what is causing the problem and have an RMA out to have it fixed, however with shipping and "product testing" they will likely take 2-3 weeks to get it back to me.

Sorry to hear that Spartan. I too will be missing the first days of BF3. The rest of the Spartans will have to keep us informed about the game.

A new bit of news, I am about to head over to my friends house who uses a similar system to myself, I will be testing both my SSD and HDD, if they both boot up with no problems then its my motherboard that is bad, If I get the same results as I do with my system then I will backup my data and wipe the drives then Re-install windows to see if that fixes it, if not then its my SSD. This could very well be some sort of Operating System error caused by a recent update or patch by either Nvidia or Microsoft, if so I will be ready to fight by BF3 release if not, well then here's hoping an RMA goes speedy.

OK I am using my computer at the moment, but only because of Hirens HBCD and I'm running a free Operating System off of my CD/DVD drive. Here are the results, plugged my drive into my friends computer and got the same results on mine, so its NOT my motherboard, also used HBCD to run tests on my other components, they test out 100%. I tried to backup as much important data as possible, my drive kept crashing my friends system indicating a failing drive if this were a conventional spin drive my data would have been completely lost, I got all the needed data backed up within 5 tries and 30 minutes of work, it seems now that my new SSD that I bought 7 months ago has failed for some reason or another. I used it for 239 hours and its rated for 1 Million Hours Mean Time Between Failure (MBTF), needless to say I am a little irritated. SSD's are usually known for their exceptional reliability, it seems in this case that I may have gotten a defective drive, it happens sadly I am going to setup an RMA and hopefully I can get my SSD back within 7 days and get back up and running by BF3 release.

I had to RMA a motherboard once, always very difficult to fault find without a complete set of spare components. Anyway good news Spartan if your RMA is delayed you can always use your HDD as a temporary measure.

OK I just just off the phone with Corsair (Company that made my SSD) Tech Support and they were awesome, set me up with an RMA over the phone, in the next 45 minutes I am to receive an E-Mail containing info for my RMA, at which time after telling the agent I am time crunched for the release of Battlefield 3; he gave me specific instructions so that I get an Advanced RMA for a slight cost but long story short I get my replacement drive sent to me in 2 days and then I ship out my defective drive and DONE, gotta love buying high quality toys from top tier companies!

another update....
ok so I have been checking my E-mail for the UPS tracking do I know when and where to expect my SSD, I have yet to get one in 48 hours, called up Corsair and the representative told me that it was not shipped because they are out of stock and will have more in 30 days, I told him that I need this before the 25th for Battlefield 3, turns out he was a gamer as well and played both the Alpha and Beta.
WARNING.....This next part is freaking awesome!!!
The representative puts me on hold for 5 minutes and when he comes back he says, I got a deal for you, you have the Force II F60 and we have a few Force III F60's which are faster and are SATA III, I can get you one shipped at NO EXTRA CHARGE, that's right I'm getting a FREE UPGRADE. My drive ships out tomorrow morning and will be here by either Saturday or Monday.
