Let’s see what’s under the hood. Let’s compare, brag, or show a need for an upgrade. Tell us what you got and let’s get those weapon systems fine tuned to conduct sustained warfare.

OK il start this one off:
MB: DFI Lanparty 3200 FX Mobo with 3 PCI-e slots for 3 ATI graphics cards, 2 running crossfire, and 1 for physics. CPU: Intel Pentium Quad-Core 2.40Ghz RAM: 4 x 1 GB sticks DDR2 memory OCZ 6400 crossfire recommended HD: 75 GB Western Digital RAPTOR Hard disk and a 200 GB Western Digital and a 500GB Western Digital for some extra space! OS: MS Vista
VG: 2 x 512 MB ATI Radeon 1950's running crossfired Audio: Creative X-Fi Gamer Sound Card
Monitor: 19" Samsung X 2 Keyboard: Standard Microsoft Mouse: Microsoft Habu Headset: Creative Fatality
That's the lot, I think, the things I need to change are Dual Core into a Quad Core and the Radeon 1950's into one of the DirectX 10 Compatible cards, maybe add another 2 GB of memory to make it up to 4 GB, but not really necessary.
What do u guys reckon? Got any better upgrade solutions?
What Graphics cards should I go for?
What have u got?

Well, I am now running a Intel Quad Core Q6600.
I haven't clocked it, as yet, and to be honest with the speed that I am getting, I don't think I will for a while!
BF2 levels load in seconds! I didn't think I would see a massive difference going from a Dual core to Quad core, but it is very impressive! Very impressive!
I also added 2 more GB of memory to bring it up to 4 GB, which has helped things along, all in all a very nice machine to run BF2 on, if not a little over kill!

Scriv, sounds like a nice set up. I now have 4 GB, but to be honest 2 Gb is plenty, unless you area running Vista! In which case, 4 GB is enough. I would stick with DDR2 for the moment. I've been hearing bad things about DDR3. It hasn't been out long enough and is meant to be like DDR2 was when it first came out, Trouble.
The only thing I would really strongly advise against is wireless gear! My brother-in-law got a fairly expensive wireless mouse and keyboard and has now thrown out the keyboard and the mouse isn't far behind! It is no where near as responsive as wired gear. I have only ever used a wireless keyboard myself when fixing other peoples' PCs and to be honest I have now taken to bringing my own if they have wireless. With mice you only need to do a small amount of research on them to discover that they are no were near the speed of wired, the technology just isn't quite there yet!
Thats my thoughts on it, others may think differently.
Oh, and QUAD core is AMAZING!! Faster than S**t off a shovel!

For just $650, I purchased the following UPGRADE components:
MB: Asus P5K WS LGA 775 CPU: Intel Core2 Quad Q6600 2.4 GHz RAM: 2 x 2 GB DDR2 (Thanks, Angry)
VG: EGVA GeForce 9600 GT 512MB
This should be a SCREAMER. And, I remembered to buy the Therma Paste this time.
Another Dell 24" Monitor is next. Just, waiting for the price to drop to $550.

Sounds like a nice setup!
With that rig, you will be capturing the first flag before most have even spawned in!
The Quad cores are great as well, I can be running multiple programs at the same time as running BF2 and not see the difference!
Nice upgrade!

When out and purchased the Nostromo n52e. Need to practice with it a bit more but thus far it is a fantastic addition to my system. Now I need to dig my wingmaster out of my HHG so I can fly and unleash the Dogs of War from the air!
