Good thread, my games are:
Fable 2 Guitar Hero World Tour Burnout Paradise city Tomb Raider Legend Tomb Raider Anniversary Viva Pinata Party Animals (Kids Game)
My Brother also has an Xbox 360 so I have access to loads of his games, he has too many for me to remember. He does have Oblivion though which is a great game, and COD 5 which is also very good.

Guitar hero is very popular. What are your thoughts? There are like 5 different versions of Guitar Hero. If you have been exposed to different versions, can explain the differences?
How does Oblivion on Xbox 360 compare to the PC version?
It would also be good to hear what folks think about the Xbox verus PlayStation.

On Guitar Hero: I've played both Guitar Hero and Rock Band, and I prefer Rock Band by far, entirely because it offers the original Guitar Hero gameplay for guitar, plus a mode for bass and (more importantly) drums I hear that it mostly comes down to song preference, so if you don't enjoy playing drums (or, like me, trying to play drums), check the soundtrack before buying. On PS3 vs. XBOX360: The PS3 has fewer games, and they have much much stronger asian leanings. The reason behind this is that the PS3 has a complicated developer environment (or so I hear). The games that do exist for it are supposed to look better (to a degree, this mostly depends on the engine used) and load faster. The xbox360 basically wins out in my mind because it has more games and enough power to run them. Xbox Live is a great web-environment as well, which makes the experience better, though to be fair I haven't seen PS3 online. Re: Oblivion The modding community for Oblivion for PC has made it 3000x deeper and replayable than the console versions. Consider the "total conversion" mods for graphics (e.g. weather, some amazing mods that add crazy detail or special effects.. etc.), or entire landmasses which are added, towns, villages, quests, guilds with their own quests.. it's astounding. My 2 cents.

On Guitar hero:
I disagree Milk, I assume you have not played Guitar Hero World Tour, the drum kit in Rock Band is not touch sensitive (the harder you hit the louder the noise), World tours is. The Rock Band drum kit dos not have symbols and only 3 pads to hit and a foot pedal, the world tour kit has 2 symbols and 3 pads and a foot pedal, giving a much more fulfilling feeling of playing the drums. The new guitar from world tour also has a motion sensor near the bottom of the neck which is used for playing solo's on. The bass on Rock band is boring and way too easy, on World Tour it has an open note added in to make it harder, which means you have the 5 normal notes plus an open strum! The note track on screen is easier to see and play on all guitar hero games while the rock band one the notes are small and annoying.
So that was rock band Vs world tour, BUT rock band then brought out Rock band 2! Could this beat world tour? No they have not changed anything! Its the same game just different songs!
I have played both games allot and without a doubt in my mind the guitar hero version of playing as a band is better than the World tour version.
Oh also its cheaper than Rock Band 2!

On Xbox 360 Vs PS3:
I don't think this is as clear cut, at work we have this debate all the time. We have decided that if you want a console that does not break, and has a built in Blu Ray player but no games and the few games out are rubbish then the PS3 is for you, but if you want an unreliable console with thousands of games allot of which are really really good but just a useless DVD player that breaks all the time and only an option to upgrade to a HDDVD player (HDDVD's have died in the UK) then the Xbox is for you.
Its tricky but for me the Xbox360 won out, I use it as a media extender from my PC as well. One thing everyone should know is NEVER EVER buy a Microsoft product and expect it to just work, it wont and it WILL break eventually. My brother is on his 3rd Xbox 360!, and mine is not running as smoothly as it was before, almost all my friends who have one have either had the ring of death (Dead console) or have had to have the DVD drive replaced.
One guy that works for me has both the 360 and the PS3 and he is think of selling the PS3 because he only uses the Blu Ray player in it and you can pick one of those up for your PC for about £50 now.

On Oblivion:
Well I prefer it on the PC, however it is not bad playing on the 360, to be honest to me it doenst make a huge amount of difference, it is 1st person shooters that are really bad on 360 over PC.
Definatly Mouse and Keyboard beats a controller on those sorts of games, but on 3rd person I actually think I prefer a controller, I am using my 360 controller on the PC as well now because of this.

On Guitar Hero i haven't tried Guitar Hero at all, but i have played real guitar, so maybe a should....
On Xbox 360 compared to PS3 I am not shore what the biggest difference between the PS3 and Xbox 360 are, but in my opinion Xbox 360 is best. the controller is so much better than the PS3 controller. and as Angry says, i can use it "together" with my PC. GREAT!!
Oblivion I am not shore about the oblivion thing, i think it is a bit easier when you can use a keyboard, but in my opinion it is much more fun to play with a controller When the game will be cheaper here in Norway i will buy it, but right now, it is to expensive for me.... but i think it will be cheaper soon.

Yeah games for the Xbox are expensive over here! £45 ($58.28) for some of the newer games if you don't want to shop around!
I get all mine pre-owned though that way they are almost half the price.
My wife got me Prince of Persia today, thats a great game! Im really enjoying it although it is very hard.
Another game I am borrowing from my Brother is GUN, this is one of my all time favorite games, it is good on the 360 but better on the PC. If you can pick it up cheap then do so.

I haven't played the newer Guitar Hero games so I had no idea about a lot of that Angry. If they've changed that drastically I have no opinion I definitely should append the RingOfDeath notice to my recommendation for the 360 over the PS3.. I'd still take the 360, but I can't believe Microsoft actually came out with a "next-gen" console that RODs every couple months. Mine's still alive, but it nearly keeled over the other day. ....I'm going to have to try the 360 controller for PC Oblivion

WOW! Ulfer that is expensive!
Milk, if you have a charger pack or wired controller then just plug it into your PC USB port, but you will need some software to get it working, microsoft do it and it works pretty well amazingly. I play alot of games like this now.
