Why would a clan be so eager to encourage others to purchase Battlefield 2? Interesting that you may ask. Well, I'll tell you.

The more games sold, the more players on the servers, and greater activity on Battlefield related websites means more money for BF2 affliated companies and results in a stronger Battlefield Community. The money and interest signals Electronic Arts (EA), Digital Illusions C.E. (DICE), and other companies to put future investments, production, and advertising toward the Battlefield product line. We all benefit by receiving better quality future installments and a more diverse selection of accessories.

Buy some copies of the game for birthdays and Christmas presents. Talk the game up and get others to catch the spirit of our beloved Battlefield series. Buy-Buy-Buy!

The original price of more than $120 for the original game, the Special Forces expansion pack, and the two booster packs has come down to a very reasonable $39 for the whole set. That's a hell of a gift for yourself and/or others. The purchase of BF2 will allow you to fight side by side with others you know regardless of their location.

How much does it cost to pursue a sport like Golf or Scuba diving?

$100 - $700 for the equipment. Then there are lessons, transport (golf cart/boat), green fees/tank refill, accessories, special trips to a premier location.

Let's take a closer look at the cheapest option ($30) and break it down:

Standard BF2 ($5), Special Forces($15), Euro($5), Armored Fury ($5)

The numbers can be mixed all you want, but the bottom line is it is a phenomenal deal. You get Special Forces for less than you can buy it in the store, Euro and Armored Fury for $5 each, and a BF2 back-up disc/CD code for just 5 dollars.

Having said all of that. There is really not a good reason why every Spartan War Fighter should not have all the expansions.

Please get all the BF2 Expansions so the =SWF= Clan can fight on all the battlefields without having to worry about leaving someone behind.

I disagree. Some people simply cannot afford to go out and buy the Exp Packs.

I dont have the Euro Force or Armored Fury, I have never seen a member on X-Fire ever play them so i didnt bother to get them. If i needed them i would buy them but i think it would be a waste for them just to be sat on the shelf. BF2, SF and PR are enough to keep me busy

That was not the expected response. The global economic down turn must be worse than I had envisioned for folks to speak out against spending 30 USD (23 Euro). This is during a time when the average BF2/PR gaming time for this week (8 - 14 FEB 09) was 8 hrs per Spartan (only includes Spartans who played any BF2 this week).

Let's put it in the perspective of one month.

A one-time $30 dollars purchase by each Member buys freedom for 20 Spartans to fight on 3 Euro, 3 Armored Fury, and 8 Special Forces maps. That increases the map count from 15 to 29 maps.

8 hrs a week times 4 weeks equals a month of gaming at 32 hrs per Spartan.

That is less than $1 per hour for one month of gaming. All the other months of gaming are FREE.

So, a year of access to 14 more maps for the whole clan would cost an average Member $0.07 per hour. (at 8 hrs a week times 52 weeks in the year equals 416 hrs a year. Then divide $30 by 416 hrs) That's right 7 cents an hour. That's cheaper than talking to some one on the phone for one minute in most places.

I have found the Complete Collection for £17.99 that's 20.09 Euro.

I bought it ages ago, I have had more than my moneys worth and half the reason that I bought it was because I believe the more popular BF2 becomes the more likely it will be that EA will release BF3!
