Typical jersey tax evasion! Lol ;p. it's actually 20% which is high and the reason it's high is because the government is trying to make money as fast as they can! :/

What Wobbly didn't mention is that although we dont have to pay VAT the goods wont be delivered until you pay our equivalent which is GST(goods and services Tax). However we are lucky in that it is only 5%. What you have to watch here is that you dont get charged VAT as well as GST on importing goods. ;D
Wobbly. Id be interested to know what you think when you have it set up. Is the picture quality better than the F5000? Am not that interested in a SMART TV so was thinking of going for that model but could be swayed if the picture quality is superior.

I saw that TV in Costco and the picture quality looked very nice! If I hadn't spent all my money on a new PC id be tempted to upgrade my TV

The TV arrived unscathed on Friday.
It is amazing how things have moved on in a few years. Internet browsing with i Player, YouTube etc.
It comes with a built in FreeView tuner which is not worth it here in Jersey. For some reason we don't get many channels. Luckily I already had a FreeSat box, so am sorted.
Overall it is a great TV. Great picture and easy to set up with loads of options.

Cool nice to hear your impressed Wobbly. Do you think the F5500 has a better picture quality than the F5000. Am not fussed to have a smart tv so was thinking of going for the lower model but not sure if that will sacrifice picture quality

Do you think the F5500 has a better picture quality than the F5000. I don't know Viper, the F5000 wasn't in the shop to compare. The 'Smart' side of things is not essential. I use my PC for YouTube etc. so would not miss it. |

I thought you Jersey Boys got plenty of entertainment from watching the waves crash on the shores of your island. You don't need no stinkin' TV. Nature provides ample amusement.
