The steps to commence with a =SWF= Gathering will go a lot smoother in the future when we acquire our own servers.
Here are some options:
- Coordinate "admin" use of someone else's server - Coordinate a match with a clan who has control of their own server - Use one of our existing "personnel computers" to act as the server - Rent a server - Purchase a server
Here are the inital steps in a =SWF= Gathering:
- We make contact with each other on Xfire then transition to TeamSpeak - Everyone moves onto the same BF2 server - Everyone gets on the same team and joins a =SWF= squad - We attempt to consolidate personnel into a close proximity fighting force
Please provide ideas and effort to improve our organization. We can all gain by controlling our own servers.

I definatly think its time =SWF= got there own server, ranked or unranked, we need a training gound! Id be more than happy to contribute to getting our own ranked server as long as it had decent levels on it that I am likly to play. This has got to be the next step in =SWF= progress into the big leagues! Angrytom_ass

I think it's a good idea. I can put in $20 a month. It's not a lot but thats all I can do. Lets start a server and kick sum ass men. Im anxious to be owning some noobs on our own servers and we can get rid of the autobalance stuff and other crap we hate. So im all up for it, count me in.

On Behalf of GhstRdr:
1. We need our own team speak server. I'm going to try and assist with getting a TeamSpeak Server.
2. I've been looking at trying to run a BF2 unranked server. We'll see how establishing a clan TeamSpeak server goes first then I can transition my efforts to establishing an unranked server (free). If all goes well, we maybe able to have our own dedicated servers.

I've got teamspeak up and running on my small server. Not much to it. The next question is can folks get on to it. Obviously I can and I've been on it for over 24 hours so it appears stable (as long as the power in the house remains stable.)
Try it out let me know if there are any problems. Its a home built server I built from an old, old computer (6 years being old). Believe it has enough juice to run an unranked server, I'll look into it and how much bandwidth it will suck off of me.
=SWF= TeamSpeak 75.70.216.117:8767 (Now working)
Figure we may be able to get some folks we're playing with to come on our TeamSpeak server and try to recruit from there. We'll work on privleges later.
Agree we need our own Ranked server and would be willing to throw some $$$ towards it.

Give it a whirl now; got it set-up for auto restart if it goes down and I've forwarded the ports.

TeamSpeak works; had two folks (who I have no clue who they were) talking to each other. They were able to create their own room. It is a public server but I can easily create a clan only server in addition.

"Yes!" We have a TS Server (=SWF= TS Server IP 75.70.216.117:8767)
Thanks GhstRdr! It was not easy, but he got it up and running. We want to keep it a Public server for guests, prospects, and recruits. But, we want to protect some of the channels with a password.
Can you configure the following channels for TeamSpeak?
- Lobby - BF2 Gaming - BF2 Gathering - BF2 Competition (Protect) - Side Conversation - Command Group (Protect)
If other members have ideas about the TS channels, let us know.

The new channels have been created on our TS server. To Enter the MEMBERS ONLY channels use the same password to enter the members only forum. It appears that it is still operational. I do have a new switch to install but will wait to take down the server AFTER or Saturday match. Following the installation of the new switch I'll notify members of any changes.
