Let's see the level of participation for ArmA 3. What can we expect when the day of release finally arrives?

I voted "Yes." It would be great to get everyone in the clan playing the same game for a period of time.

I voted "not sure".
I don't really know if I'd be having fun playing Arma 3. I haven't played much Arma 2 or Arma 1 either, even if I do own them. I think I'll stick with Arma 2 unless something Arma 3 offers something incredibly awesome the clan may or may not be playing.
I think the Arma games are really cool, but I can't get over the general slowness, which is realistic, but playing them feels sort of heavy. We'll see what Arma 3 is like when it's released.

I voted 'Yes' I have been looking forward to ArmA3. It has to be an improvement on 2, which is a fantastic achievement apart from a few annoying bugs. I hope the interface will be simplified and weapon count reduced a bit

I'm betting I will get it when it comes out as well. And hopefully the campaign and tutorials will be easier to understand than the ArmA II campaign. I tried to play the campaign before, and despite having a waypoint, I still could not for the life of me figure out what I was supposed to do, so yeah.. hopefully ArmA III will be a little better constructed. Though it looks like it will be.
The only thing is, most likely there won't be any DayZ mod, so I wonder whether or not I'll actually enjoy the game. But I'll still get it.

Can't vote from my iphone but I'm unsure.
I will likely purchase either ArmA3 or DayZ depending on which is most popular within the clan.

I will be buying both. Although, I believe I will be playing DayZ more; at least initially.
Actually, the releases will not occur at the same time. There should be a significant gap between releases.
So, DayZ then ArmA 3.

Looks like Bohemia Interactive is selling the Alpha at a reduced rate.
Will you be purchasing the Alpha?

Alpha is just 25€/33$/20£ while the full game will be 45€/60$/40£. This would be the optimal time for purchase if you are certainly going to buy it at some point. I'm not sure myself. All the new features look cool and the game looks impressive, but I don't know if I would really play it. I really like how realistic it is, but just like Arma 2 and Arma 1, it doesn't look like a game I would play that much. I actually bought Arma X just to get Day Z working (which I didn't like that much, mostly due to all the patches and updates to multiple softwares, clunky gameplay and the pace was very slow) but haven't played it much. An Arma 2 event would be nice, though I still haven't found a game mode I'd like. Standalone Day Z on the other hand could be an interesting enough game to consider buying. Then there's the eternal argument about Steam being just a rental service (a product you own can be given or borrowed to a friend for example, Steam games cannot) and my unwillingfulness to give them my credit card information, knowing that their servers could be hacked, and the information retrieved. I also fear that I'll spend huge amounts of money on games if I buy even one game from Steam.

You get the full game once it's released and get to play the alpha+beta. The price right now is half of the price it'll be once it's released.
