Pressing the “Scroll Lock” key and the “x” key is the default setting for opening an Xfire window to reply to chat messages.
To keep the Xfire receive messages window open. Place the window where you want it. Adjust the transparency by moving the sliding lever near the bottom to the left or right. Click the tack button to keep the window open and on the top layer. You can even activate BF2 interactive buttons behind the Xfire receive message window. For example, you can tack the window in the bottom right corner and can still press the BF2 “Join Game” button.
