Many would call me a medic sleeper! In fact, I myself would agree with that terminology!
The reason I love this Kit is the points really. I can rack up the point with heals and revives very quickly. However, the medic's 3 choices of guns are a big let down. The weapons that accompany this Kit are crap. Under powered and inaccurate.
Iv pretty much mastered the medic position as I have attained the Gold Medic Combat Badge and only need 20 heals in a game to get my Gold First Aid Badge. I am really going to try and move away from medic now and try some other kits. I played as an engineer the other day and didn't find it that bad at all.
I'll let you know how I get on.

I too am a big fan of the medic. As someone who played (excessivly?) the various counterstrike games, I am quite able with the gun, and find the healing packs allow me to keep going for a while, and provide some extra points when i run into a meat grinder. I have also come to the conclusion that this kit is really limited to no-vehicle maps, although the Medic Kit is my comfort kit .. I have been moving towards the Anti-Tank kit.

I have found the exact same thing, medic is great on "Infantry Only." But like you ares, I have started to put more time in as Antitank and got a few good points for it.
It's just so great to take a tank down without him getting a shot off!

Compared to the Assault guns, the medics assembly is a joke? I find that I will put a good 3-4 well placed bursts into an enemy and they still have time to jump around and possibly hit me before i take them out.

Agreed, it is rubbish! There are many better guns on BF2.

The Medic unlock is arguably the most accurate auto-rifle in the game... Next to, of course, the sniper rifle.

OK then guys maybe not inaccurate, just Crap!
It has not stopping power at all, as ares says, 3 or 4 bursts can still leave a man standing, head shots help but still, untill you have played most of the other Kits you dont realise how easy it is to kill with anything but the medic guns!

The G36E pisses me off. It is way over powered and way over accurate.

There are a LOT of guns more powerfull than the G36E, Here are all the guns avalible on BF2 (not including handguns or shotguns)
As you can see the G36E is 12th on the list!! So i would hardly call it over powered.

Thanks Robnob, finally someone who can be bothered to prove the point I have been trying to make for ages!
I think we should put the G36E debate to rest, it is not the best gun in the game, nor is it unrealistic, it just suits mine and others playing styles.

Yer lets put it to rest, We all know the most powerfull weapon is Brunos knife!! I played with him the othe day and he is crazy good at it!! He got like 15Kills by the knife, and alot of the times the guys didnt even get a shot off on him!!
