Previous TeamSpeak Use

I find that most other people I have played with in other games use Ventrilo. Is there a particular reason for using Teamspeak over Vent, or is it really the same thing?

Iv never heard of ventrilo, il look it up and see the benifits/negatives of it over teamspeak.

The only real diffrence I have noticed (with my limited knowledge of these programs) is that when people enter the channel your in, the programs announces you name such as "Ares has joined/left the channel", which is quite helpful when your playing and don't feel like Tab+Alt out to see whos the new guy. However it can also be quite annoying when you have someone with a huge name costantly entering and exiting.

They are prettymuch the same thing except with a few tweaks done. Teampseak came first the ventrillo I think.

As for the use, I think that whenever your on, get n the TS server s I dont have to type alot haha. Plus it makes life a wole lot easier to talk things through rather than typ and type and type. It makes the conversation a whole lot better.
