Yeah I got it wobbly, it looks cool at the moment but lots of keys to learn A GAIN.....
First impressions are that graphics are really cool close up but hazy at distance but I need to play around. Had one game of MP and was quite cool but I think the server crashed. I have seen or read that there is an issue with lag att.
I can't do boot camp att, not sure as to way? I've had a little fly around and its going to take some getting used to, thats for sure. But there are loads of tanks/field arty/mount mgs/AAA and many more. When are you going to be online so we can get together and sort this out.
By the way, the download from steam took 15mins, couldn't believe it.

Yep, got mine too. Was initially dissapointed. I was hoping it would be a step up from ArmA, but it is the same. Early days. If you start the Campaign, it takes you through boot camp. I will give MP a shot tonight around 21:00 Aus.

Sorry Wobb didn't make it. Was spending time with my young fella but will make another attempt if you're up for it. What is your steam name? maybe I can add you through there?

Aus, my Steam name is BadDog (what else) McGuirk, it is exactly the same as ArmA. Same setup, interface, graphics etc. So it is still complicated I like the WWII setting and equipment, and I think it will help with ArmA2 being the same controls etc. I haven't played much because the Campaign mode keeps crashing. A pain because this is where the 'boot camp' is. It has potential though.

A review on my favourite gaming website, Rock Paper Shotgun: www.rockpapershotgun.com/2012/05/30/wot-i-think-iron-front-liberation-1944/I haven't read it yet. Edit: Now I have read it. To summarise, Iron Front: Liberation 1944 has two badly made campaigns, one for the German side and one for the Russian side. It's basically just a commercial mod for Arma 2, as it doesn't add any new gameplay mechanics, just some planes, maps, artillery and other equipment. An alternative could be Invasion 1944 mod for Arma 2. I do not know how well made it is, but it seems good. www.moddb.com/mods/invasion-1944Unfortunately the dev team isn't updating it anymore but instead are making another mod by the same name for Arma 2: Combined Operations. www.moddb.com/mods/invasion-19441Features include bayonets, weapon resting, hand signals, crew served weapons (e.g. one soldier carries the tripod and the other one the actual machine gun), and lots more. If I had Arma 2 Combined Operations (Arma 2+ Arrowhead) I'd try out the Invasion 1944 mod immediately. WWII just seems to be my thing.

Just had another mess with this game. I am begining to think it is a step back from ArmA2 OA, so best stick with that.
I will try a while longer to make sure.
