A number of our recent recruits have come as a direct result of myself and scriv playing Project Reality.
The quality of recruits in PR is better, they all have mics and good comms, they are usually experienced BF2 fighters who have moved over to PR.
I say if members wish to move over to other games such as PR and there is a big enough following then let it happen and stop complaining about it!
Psyco you may have only just started playing BF2 but I have been playing it since 2006 and to be completely honest I don't mind having a change to PR. You keep saying how your pressured to play PR, well I feel like I am being pressured not to play it!
No one has given up on BF2 and we have had one gathering where we have played PR, and one to come, nothing further has been arranged, however if you wish to arrange a BF2 gathering over Xmas then please carry on.

Correction I too have been playing since 06.Do what you will it don't bother me.I just want to play and have fun so lets do it.I forsee this clan being good with any game we choose to play.It will have my full support.

I must have missed something. Angry, you seem a bit too hostile. Is this slight confrontation due to psyco's recent post in this thread or is there more going on here?
In psyco's defense, the timing of his arrival was right before we were trying out PR and he has been delaying the PR download due to a poor internet connection. He told me he was planning on downloading PR this month using a higher speed connection he will have access to soon.
On Angry's side of this issue, I do understand the pressures going on between those wanting to play PR and those who don't. Also, PR is a MUCH better recruiting area. Angry's points about the qualities of the PR players is on target.
We are not abandoning BF2 or only fighting Infantry Only (IO). We are a team of online gamers with varying interests. Please be understanding and flexible. We are in this organization to improve our performance, fight as a functioning team, and to have fun. I for have experienced all three.
I would like to thank each one of you for many great days on the Battlefield.

Lot's of really immature people on CSS.. I'm not big on 'moving' in that direction, per se, but maybe playing a couple times, sure. I have CSS, BF2, HT, and PR. Yea you guys do have good points about counterstrike. I was just thinking it'd be fun to play some with our own clan members, I didn't take into account whether it would be good place to recruit. |

Haha, it's true, zombies make any game good. I do like CSS for random "I really need to own some noobs" moments, but I've discovered that I get the same feeling in a BF2 jet. I'll probably do some CSS once I get steam installed again, I just don't think any of the guys who don't have it should invest--though if you guys haven't played any of the Half-life franchise, when HL3 comes out (...?) you should definitely pick it up. HL graphics and functionality tends to describe the direction of gaming for the next 5 years or so. Even Crysis hasn't replicated the level of destroyable terrain, and the rendering in HL2 gives much more bang for the buck. Also, there's a gravity gun. Need I say more?
Oh, and zombies. Lots of zombies.

I have to say, i believe every game should have a zombie mode. On that note, if no one has picked up a copy of Left 4 Dead, i highly suggest dipping into your 401 k.

I own HL2 cause I bought Orange Box. HL2 single player is beyond amazing. Are there good mods for that? How is online play?

HL1 had a ton of great mods (my favourite was The Specialists) and HL2 has less, but generally of better quality. Day of Defeat Source, Team Fortress Source (they're all "source"), Counter Strike, Portal, etc. HL2 deathmatch online is pretty boring though.. It's even less thought-provoking than CSS.

Downloading the pr core at this time takes forever.Try to do the maps tommorow and the single player.This better be worth it.
