Another Way to Record - Fraps

Download and install the Fraps program. We recommend buying the full version. The free version is very limited and will only allow a 30 second watermarked clip and only screen capture in bitmap format.

To use the program:

Launch Fraps

Launch BF2

A frame rate counter will appear in the top left corner. The counter will not show up in the actual video you are recording. You can turn it off by pushing your F12 key (it will cycle through all four corners of your screen then turn off).

Push F9 to start and stop recording. The frame rate counter will turn red when you are recording.

To do a screen shot press F10. (BF2 will do a screen shot by pressing the Print Screen Button)

If your frame rate is below 25 frames a second, you can:

change the capturing setting to "half-size"
reduce your BF2 video graphics settings
or disable your audio

The captured video (and screenshots) will be stored in the C:/Fraps folder as AVI files.

OK I will get this, the other day we found a hacker playing, who we have seen a couple of times before.
I was on his team and followed him around for a while, its a shame I didnt have this installed or I would have recorded and reported him!

Yer, it is annoying when there is a guy just killing you every time you confront him. A big indicator something is not right is when everyone else has 20 kills and the cheater has somthing stupid like 100 kills.

We should write their BF2 screen names down and then put them on our Ban List, so they can't join the =SWF= Server!!

Someone said that last night about the hacking Ass Clown. He was using another hack that allowed him to use a fake name, so you couldn't kick or ban him.

Oh, right! Wow, ive never heard of that one!! Cheaters will always find a way around Punk Buster eventually!!

It would be cool if we could put together a list of all the known hacks, so we can know what to look for if we think someone is hacking.

These are both VERY GOOD ideas that should be implemented.

=SWF=sfscriv and =SWF=brusingbruno both have FULL versions of the Fraps progam. We will have to see how good it functions and provide feedback.
